The CONNEXX-inet WorldTraveller mini V.2 is a fast Cat.12 router in a sturdy metal casing that can bundle up to three LTE frequencies and also supports the new modulation methods. The router supports all LTE and 3G frequencies used worldwide.
Please note that the router's integrated power-saving function, which allows it to operate with a power consumption of just 8-9 watts, reduces the maximum download speed to 50-60 Mbit/s.
Wi-Fi is only used at 2.4 GHz. In addition, the system can broadcast its own Wi-Fi via the roof antenna, which is an invaluable advantage, especially in vans and caravans with aluminium panels, when you are sitting in front of the vehicle. Wi-Fi from the campsite or other external sources can also be accessed in this way, even if they have a splash page (captive portal).
Notes:
- eSIM option – We offer an eSIM functionality for the router via a programmable SIM card. This allows an eSIM card to be purchased online and programmed onto the programmable SIM card without having to purchase a physical SIM card. An Android smartphone is required for programming. Simple Android smartphones are available from many retailers for as little as 70 euros.
- Configure router: We set up the Wi-Fi name, Wi-Fi password and administrator password here and configure the SIM card if desired.
- Power supply: A 220V power adapter is included. In addition, we can provide you with a power adapter that works with the on-board voltage: for cigarette lighter socket (12-24V), for DIN plug socket (9-35V), with open cable ends (9-35V)
- Support: The price of the router already includes gold support for 6 months. This means: support by email, WhatsApp and phone, as well as remote maintenance by us as soon as the update is available. Remote maintenance means that we can access the router via an existing internet connection and make settings according to your requirements. Gold support for 12 months: the same as gold support for 6 months, but for a full year.
- USB LAN adapter: With this adapter, you can access the router via a LAN cable from your smartphone, tablet or notebook if, for example, access via WLAN is not working (anymore). It is a good way to quickly fix errors yourself.
- Setting up a VPN: If you want to work abroad with a local SIM card or with the WLAN from the campsite, you cannot access the media libraries of German broadcasters because of geoblocking. This can be avoided with a VPN, because it creates an encrypted tunnel to a German server. It also prevents others from reading your own data. To set up the VPN, you need an account with the provider of your choice.
- Angled adapter set: With angled adapters, you can install the router more compactly because you can route the antenna cables vertically up or to the side directly on the router.
